Ms. Susy Ruiz is an accomplished leader in the college counseling field committed to assisting first-generation, traditional, and transfer students and their families in achieving their college aspirations. With over twelve years of experience in college admissions, higher education, scholarships, and educational background, Ms. Ruiz brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work. Ms.Ruiz is a member of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), Western Association for College Admissions Counseling (WACAC), and Independent Educational Consultants Admissions (IECA). She’s traveled to 55 colleges across the United States. During her undergraduate studies, she spent every summer working in academic boot camps for first-generation and low-income students at the TRiO University of Southern California (USC). Ms. Ruiz graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and earned her MSW at Arizona State University. Ms. Ruiz is a passionate advocate for college, scholarship, and post-secondary access and is currently driving change by creating a leading social media platform that provides college and scholarship access to over 17,000 scholars across the United States. As the first person in her family to attend a prestigious university and graduate with a post-secondary degree, she deeply understands the obstacles and challenges that students face. Ms. Ruiz embraces the motto “Gratitude is the Attitude,” which reflects her positive outlook and appreciation for life. She enjoys following the Chicago Bulls basketball team in her free time, with Michael Jordan as her favorite player. Ms. Ruiz enjoys spending time with her fiancé and her dog, Sparky.
